Barings, a global real estate investment management firm, and Rest, one of Australia’s largest superannuation funds, have jointly announced the development of a $400 million prime industrial estate in Kemps Creek, Sydney. The project, known as Access Logistics Park, is strategically located within the Greater Mamre Road Precinct and the Western Sydney Employment Area (WSEA).
This 20-hectare site will feature six buildings with a gross lettable area of 90,000 square meters, designed to cater to the growing demand for logistics and industrial spaces, particularly in proximity to the emerging Western Sydney Aerotropolis. The development is expected to become a significant hub for international and domestic businesses, offering state-of-the-art warehouse and logistics facilities with a focus on sustainability, targeting a 6-star Green Star Rating.
Construction on the first warehouse is scheduled to begin in December 2024, with the entire project expected to be completed by 2025. This development marks a significant step forward in the partnership between Barings and Rest, following their recent acquisitions to expand their industrial real estate portfolio in Australia.
